From a Vision for Peace to a Global Platform for Planetary Impact

The genesis and evolution of the Earth Cup, the Gaia Platform, and the proposed UN-endorsed Biosphere Reserve Bank for the Global South are rooted in a vision that brings together climate action, peacebuilding, human dignity, and the restoration of our shared biosphere.

This journey has a distinctive historical and spiritual connection to the City of Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus Christ. Bethlehem’s spiritual and civic leaders deeply associated with the Church of the Nativity endorsed our integrated climate, peace, and social-impact initiatives and produced a short film supporting the vision of the Earth Cup — A Planetary Initiative for Climate Action and World Peace. The concept was originally conceived as the Peace Cup, in honour of football legend Pelé, and has since evolved into a broader planetary initiative. 

We are eternally indebted to Ms. Vera George Baboun, former Mayor of Bethlehem, Palestine, for championing our vision. By consecrating 1 Earth Holdings Inc.’s climate and peace initiatives at the iconic Church of the Nativity, she helped us anchor a global message of hope and sustainability, and left an enduring legacy on our global mission.
